Web Developer
Opportunity
We are now looking to expand our Technology team with a Web Developer with experience in Python and React. As part of our technology team, you will be instrumental in building new features and supporting existing functionality of our SaaS web portal, as well as collaborating on internal digital projects and our portable device.
Essential experience
We use a variety of technologies and stacks at Bia Analytical, but the following experience and skills are essential for this role.
- 2+ years developing web solutions with Python.
- 1+ years developing commercial web solutions with React using:
- Redux
- Routing
- Typescript
- 1+ years’ experience of Node.js
- 1+ years’ experience of npm/pip
- 1+ years’ experience of GIT and source control tools
- 1+ years’ experience code testing (unit/automation)
- Strong HTML and CSS skills
- Experience with IDEs like Visual Studio Code, PyCharm
- 1+ years’ experience with SQL and database interaction through code
- An awareness and understanding of SaaS products.
- An awareness and understanding of Cloud and Serverless technology.
- 1+ years’ experience working in an Agile development environment.
- The ability to work solo or as part of a team.
- A demonstrable collaborative approach and positive attitude
- A demonstrable problem solver who focuses on the solutions as much as the challenges
Desirable experience
As a business, we are always pushing the boundaries of what we can do in the field of food authentication, and our technology approach matches those ambitions. Any experience in the following areas would be beneficial.
- Demonstrable experience with Serverless/Lambda technology on AWS
- Experience of Docker and containerising apps
- Experience of Infrastructure as Code technology (Terraform)
- DevOps and toolchain experience
- R and Data Science
- Collaborating in a lab/scientific environment
- Working with portable devices
